Water Light by HisLadyFaide
Straight up this is perhaps one of my favorite shots of you. I love the way this is lit. It was hard trying to decide between this and the other shot you call "Elegance" as they are quite similar. What wins this one for me is the angle of the shot. Looking up at you makes you look statuesque and divine. They call this a "heroic" angle and this is a great example of this. I wish the backdrop was less textured in this shot, perhaps the use of a seamless or perhaps a slightly wider aperture (say f/5.6) would give the background a bit more bokeh and more of a 3D effect making you stand out.

Love the lighting here, so subtle and almost like a caress of light, bringing a sort of godlike shimmer to this. Really outside of the preferring a smoother backdrop this is outstanding and one of the best shots you've posted Faide. Excellent work by the photographer and yourself.
Hidden Light by photonutz
Hidden Light

Because I can't wait until Thursday, another shot on Kodak EIR from Eastern State Penitentiary. The red items were actually black, but the dyes used reflected a lot of IR light.

Mermaid Parade Redux by photonutz
Mermaid Parade Redux

Re-Edit of a shot I did on my X100 a few years back of the Mermaid Parade. Re-Edit was done using Snapseed 2.0 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.

It took just a few minutes to edit it in the new Snapseed. The most powerful aspects of Snapseed 2.0? It's all layer based (i.e. non-destructive editing) and allows masking! If you use something like a Galaxy Note, this just makes your pressure sensitive stylus all the more useful.

Lines in Fog by photonutz
Lines in Fog

Recently Google released an update for their photo editing app Snapseed. Tested it out this morning. Shot with a Galaxy S5 using Camera FV-5 and edited with Snapseed 2.0.

So you delete a deviation. Perhaps it is old, perhaps you feel you don't want it up anywhere, perhaps it just didn't have enough cowbell. Well make sure to keep track of your image URLs, for according to the uncreative subhuman sacks of shit that really do not understand art but just diodes and lines of code while they sit in their mother's basements the following occurs;

"Hi, When you delete a deviation, the deviation's page is removed from public viewing and the files on the servers are put through a 30 day deletion queue." - Evanita W Montalvo

Really? So basically unbeknownst to your users, you are secretly keeping these files on your server for THIRTY MOTHERFUCKING DAYS before deleting them? Why can't the software YOU UNIMAGINITIVE FUCKING TECHGEEKS designed just autodelete the image files the same time the Deviation is deleted by the user? Why do you need 30 days to do this? Perhaps you fucktards are too lazy to design the system to do this? Nah couldn't be that - implementing such a change would actually be easy.

It must be because you are giving yourself 30 days so you can violate our protected intellectual property for whatever nefarious purpose you fucking asswipes come up with. Odd that it would take a very long search the first time this issue came up and nearly 90 days to resolve it on your end DA. This time I am not going to be forgiving. This time I am letting everyone know that You, a site that purports to support artists and showcasing their work, quietly and in a very shady manner holds onto your users art when they delete it.

Sure there is a less than one percent (IMHO) chance that you may be telling the truth, but more likely IMHO you are FUCKING STEALING OUR COPYRIGHTS IN SOME WAY AND MAKING MONEY WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE ON OUR COLLECTIVE ART.

Perhaps it is because you got into the most mundane and creatively void job possible - working on code.

Whatever the reason stop it. Fix the system so there is no doubt what we delete is gone and not hanging around on your server secretly for whatever BS reason.

I take pictures of beautiful women because no beautiful woman I know wishes to be with me.

I take photos of joyous moments because joy is a distant faded memory to me and has become an alien concept beyond my understanding.

I take photos of people with their friends and lovers because I have lost all of mine and stand never to gain any again.

Only my camera loves me.
